A
Prayer For College Students
God has
created me to do some definite service; God has committed some
work to me which has not been committed to another. I
have my mission -- I may never know it in this life, but I
shall be told it in the next.
I am a
link in a chain, a bond of connection between persons. God has not
created me for naught. I shall do good. I shall do God's work.
I shall be an angel of peace, a preacher of truth in my own
place.
Whatever,
wherever I am, I can never be thrown away. If I am in sickness,
my sickness may serve the Lord; in perplexity, my perplexity
may serve the Lord; if I am in sorrow, my sorrow may serve
the Lord. God does nothing in vain. Therefore I will trust
in the Lord.

Let Go & Let God
As children
bring their broken toys,
with tears for us to mend,
I brought my broken dreams to God,
because He is my friend.
But then instead of leaving Him
in peace to work alone,
I hung around and tried to help
with ways that were my own.
At last, I snatched them back again and cried,
"How can you be so slow?"
"My child," He said, "What could I do?
You never did let go."
